I've been working on unpacking for the last week or so, and I am so fed up with it. No kidding.
I just want to get everything out of boxes and get them somewhat organized and then just play around with styling. Such is my impatient nature. Thus, I've been dreaming about how exactly this is all going to look in the end.
Sadly, the walls of the apartment must stay white. Sad day. Bittersweet, though, because I'm a horrible painter. Terrible, horrible, no good painter. Lesson learned the hardway on that fact. Maybe one day, I'll pass as a decent painter, but until then. Things are staying white.
Also one other sad, white thing: carpet. Yuck. White carpet is so gross.
I've already covered that ish up.
Mind you, my couches aren't exactly white. One is floral and the other is an olive green, but I can definitely bring those in to be a feature in a bohemian way. Which I love.
I'm always collecting things from my adventures (especially with thrifting) that I always love to display. So, I'm going to need a lot of space that way. Plus... Plants. You know this girl has GOT to have a ton of plants around.
Martin Lawrence Bullard always makes my mouth water ^^^ and I feel like these kinds of colors are definitely more of the kind that I'd be heading towards...
I love the grounding of the blacks with these as well. I want to mix in more furniture and wood finishes in there as well.
Got to display my pictures, of course, because I have a MILLION of them.
I love this room to pieces, minus the brass fireplace and weird mirror over it. Really, it's the batman poster in the corner and the skull on the coffee table tray that get me.
Of course, Lori Levine's NYC apartment is always a thriller for a collection addict.
And a shot from one of my new favorite blogs, 47 Park Avenue. SO many amazing goodies to be found on this gem!
