From the Runway to Your Home: Chanel

Runways sets intrigue me. I've seen images floating around of various Chanel Runway sets and they set a bomb off in my brain. In the last couple of years, Karl Lagerfield has really outdone himself, at least that I've managed to keep track of. Take a look of some of the glorious runway sets Chanel that I've been oogling. You can view videos of the most recent ones on Chanel's website. Can you imagine being that set designer??? OMG. I would be in hog heaven.

So, I know it's almost impossible to bring this elements into your home without it looking tacky or extremely overplayed, so I found you some other Chanel goodies that would look marvelous in most any space.

Double Balloons from a vintage window display, found on 1st Dibs, would make a wonderful sculptural element.

Or how about this guy? I could see these being really cool on a faux animal head or even printed gold on a white ceramic leopard head instead of spots... I feel like you could diy something like this in a number of fashions...

Or just go for the safe bet... the Chanel coffee table book looks amazing anywhere.

Or be bold and daring and go with a Chanel surf board. And if a surfboard isn't your style, they have a whole collection of other Chanel sporting goods, like tennis and football.

Or go for some amazing Chanel inspired art. I love the layering in this shot, but what really sells it for me is that Chanel art. Edgy, yet so cool. (You could probably make this art for CHEEEEEP with the melted crayon technique that's all over pinterest.)

You could even blow up a picture of some Chanel jewelry and frame it. Like this one:

It's a Chanel pin, but man, I would totally blow that baby up and put it on my wall in a heartbeat!

See? So even the smallest budget can afford some Chanel. Or pictures of Chanel, in my case.

 Happy Monday everybody!

That shot of the dinner party runway... holy freaking moly. Love surprises like that.

And somebody wants a pair of those lacquered up wood skis I just spotted on the website. The croquet set is pretty dope too.
