Beach House Chic, Interiors by Johnathan Adler

Somehow, I managed to pick up this image this morning, and it's been stuck in my head ever since. It's from Johnathan Adler's latest nautical line, which I think is absolutely marvelous. Could probably be the beginning of a new home trend. Once the Americana wave wears off, I definitely feel like this could easily be the next big thing.

Then, because it's so easy to do on his site, I got sucked into one of his beach house designs. It's marvelous. It looks like it was collected, not just plopped together in one great big swoop, which I LOVE. The pieces work together, but they each have their own individuality.

I'm totally in love. Could you imagine DIY-ing a rug like that?? It would be super cool! And white is a perfect backdrop to bring all those colors and textures together. If definitely takes a master to get such a balanced look.

Oh my gosh, yes- that rug would be a killer diy! I love the look of these rooms- they look so collected and yet everything goes together so well. That first image is my fav- I love the greens and blues.

omfg. i LOVE IT ALL.

my grandma used to be a master with textiles. she quilted. she was SO GOOD mixing patterns (before that was trendy). she had layers and layers of rugs in her home, and random and weird textiles, tiles, and artwork galore. it all worked. it all worked so well! i wish i had that talent!
