Have you ever had one of those moments in life where karma gives you a little sumthin' sumthin' that you weren't expecting? Well, I have. (Surprise? Karma loves me.) Recently, it was in the form of some branding inspiration. A couple weeks ago I received an email from Mac, the founder of Native (X), telling me about his brand and the inspiration behind it.
I was pretty excited, because I L-O-V-E finding awesome, graphically minded businesses to support, and what was even better was the fact that Native (X) works with Native American artists to help them sell their artwork. Native (X) also funds art classes on reservations (like designing their own t-shirts and learning to print them).
When Mac sent me a Cherry coin pouch, I was amazed by the quality. The wool is Pendleton-made and made in the USA, an antique brass zipper, and a heat-embossed leather label.
Seriously. Look at that wool.
Quality. Pure quality (ok, not so much the picture). It's also big enough to fit my phone and other necessities. That's great design. Functional and quality. I'm sold.
They also have so many other amazing products (and ART!)
Original artwork. Above is Killer Whale and below is Wasco both by Nathaniel Wilkerson, Gitxsan Tribe.
What isn't there to love about this company?? Some badass stuff going on. Make sure you visit their website, follow them on Facebook or twitter (they're even on Pinterest!)
PS They're having a cyber Monday sale... Get a free 12"x12" silkscreen print with any purchase. (They always have free shipping and free returns, too!) Talk about a great gift!
